Grand Opening!

Today is the day! Join owner, Terry Robertson, and his staff in celebrating the Grand Opening of Kings Mountain Preserve and Retreat Center. Festivities begin today, Saturday October 17th, 2020 at 2:00PM, and will include an opening ceremony, champagne toast, and tours of the property.

Terry’s love of nature and his care for the dying and the bereaved inspired a dream. He wanted to develop a conservation burial ground (green cemetery) to serve Charlotte and the surrounding areas. A year ago, he fell in love with a beautiful property in Blacksburg, SC, and the vision began to take shape. Months (and many hours of sweat equity) later, it is time to celebrate the realization of this dream!

Together with Robertson Funeral and Cremation service, Kings Mountain Preserve will be the east coast’s first conservation burial ground and funeral home combination.

Due to the pandemic, we do ask that everyone wear a mask and practice safe social distancing while on the property. We look forward to seeing you there!
